By integrating single-flux quantum control electronics and superconducting qubits into a single multi-chip module via flip-chip bonding, a quantum processor unit can be created in which the control electronics and the quantum layer coexist at the same temperature. The optical microscopy image on the cover shows a section of the single-flux quantum control carrier chip used in the processor unit.
